What does Cranfield Aerospace Solutions do?

Cranfield Aerospace is developing scalable hydrogen-electric propulsion systems, paving the way for the future of clean aviation. A spin-out from Cranfield University and an established business of over 25 years, we are one of very few aerospace medium-sized enterprises globally to have both whole aircraft design capability, and to hold a range of regulatory approvals for the design and manufacture of modifications to existing aircraft. The company has a track-record of working with the world’s largest OEMs (original equipment manufacturer) including Boeing, Airbus, Rolls-Royce and NASA on various cutting-edge R&D projects

Why did Cranfield join SASHA?

We joined the SASHA as the coalition provides an authoritative voice on the need for effective policy and regulation to drive forward green hydrogen and its derived fuels to the aviation and shipping industries.

What is the impact of Cranfield’s work?

Green hydrogen is a future fuel for aviation due to its potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional aviation fuels. It offers a pathway towards achieving zero emission flights, which aligns with global efforts to combat climate change.
